Writing as an escape

Talk to any writer and they’ll invariably say, they have to write. I was told many years ago by an astrologist, that if I didn’t get a computer, I’d go crazy. Sounds far-fetched, but her comment registered with me.  This past year, writing has served another purpose, that of escape. Just before Christmas, my daughter was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer. It was like a steam roller came out of nowhere and ran over our family.

One that will take my daughter and our family over the rough terrain we find ourselves in and get us safely and healthily to the other side.
