A Special Deal on a Love Story

In anticipation of Valentine’s Day 2024, I’m offering a special deal on a love story. A Cry from the Deep, my romantic mystery and adventure was published in 2014 and took 10 years to write. I loved the research into the past (the time of the Irish famine and the Spanish Armada) and the research into the occupations of my characters: Catherine Fitgerald, underwater photographer: Daniel Costello, marine archaeologist, and Kurt Hennesey, notorious salvager. Such fun! And a great love story.

The price of the ebook is now  $2.99 US on Kindle, Kobo, Apple, etc, 1/2 of the original $5.95 US, and only $3.99 Canadian. 1/2 price in other countries as well.

Another Special Deal on a Love Story

And while I was at it, I thought I’d also lower the price for The Rubber Fence. Though not a typical love story, it’s a love story nonetheless. When psychiatric intern Dr. Joanna Bereza tries to stop her arrogant supervising psychiatrist from shocking her patients ( a young mother and an old lady), she not only risks her career but also risks losing the love of her life.   The price of the ebook is now  $2.99 US on Kindle, Kobo, Apple, etc, 1/2 of the original $5.95 US, and only $3.99 Canadian. 1/2 price in other countries as well.   I hope you take this special deal on a love story.

A Kind of Love Story to See Now

And speaking of a special deal on a love story, Better Living, a play by George F. Walker and directed and produced by Liz Best is opening Friday January 19 at the Alumnae Theatre. Ticket prices are 1/3 what they are of professional theatre, and yet all the performers in this production are trained actors, either through classes or previous plays. A stellar cast!

A special deal on a love story

While we were visiting our younger daughter Robyn and family in Toronto, during the holiday season, we attended rehearsals for Better Living to see our granddaughter Chloe Matamoros play Maryann. The play is kind of a love story, even though the play is about a dysfunctional family. You know the kind, where everyone in the family wants love, but isn’t getting it.

If you’re in Toronto, check out this play. The story of this dysfuncitional family is riveting.

What I’m Working On

Since Paper Roses on Stony Mountain was launched in October 2022, I finished writing a collection of short stories, currently out at three publishing houses. While waiting to hear back, I started an experimental novel and wrote the pilot and three episodes of a limited series based on my novel Sunflowers Under Fire. I need to reach out to producers,  agents, and streaming networks. I will soon.

So, returning home, I decided to put the experimental novel on the back burner, and focus on a book I’ve wanted to write since the late 1970s. Yes, the late 1970s!!! I discovered how long it’s been when I went through my file drawers and found a folder full of hand-written notes and manually typed papers. Back then, I had used a typewriter (remember those? :)) to record my scribblings.
