This morning I checked the book categories of The Rubber Fence<\/strong><\/em> <\/strong>on Amazon and discovered that Amazon had given my novel a surprise discount.<\/strong> It was listed as $14.95 but was now on sale for $6.91. Confused, I phoned to enquire why. The agent told me that Amazon selects certain books to promote. So, the customer gets a bargain ( if they buy :). And I get the same royalty as if it’s been sold at full price. Who knew!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also, who knows how long this discount will last. It’s not available on the Amazon’s other sites, so sorry about that. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

But if you haven’t had a chance to read this psychological fiction<\/strong><\/a>,<\/strong> have a look. The story follows three women<\/strong>: a psychiatric intern in a troubled marriage, a mute young mother accused of trying to kill her baby, and an old woman ( a mentally ill patient) who’s been shocked many times. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are also a number of fascinating men<\/strong>, including a gay intern. It’s an inside look at a psychiatric ward, and the relationships of those who end up there as workers or patients. I was told by one psychiatrist that not much has changed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
