I was told many years ago by an astrologist, that if I didn&#8217;t get a computer, I&#8217;d go crazy. Sounds far-fetched, but her comment registered with me.\u00a0 This past year, writing has served another purpose, that of escape. Just before Christmas, my daughter was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer. This bridge, somewhere in the Kootenays of British Columbia, is the kind of passage I&#8217;m looking for right now.
