North Shore Writers Festival<\/h3>\n

April is turning out to be quite a month for a writers’ festival and more.\u00a0The month\u00a0begins with my book launch of The Rubber Fence <\/strong><\/span><\/span>at the\u00a0Campbell River library\u00a0on Vancouver Island and\u00a0continues at the Lynn Valley library for the North Shore Writers Festival<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

At the North Shore Writers’ Festival, I\u2019m on a panel with Martin Crosbie, author<\/span>,<\/span><\/strong><\/a> of the Amazon bestseller, How I Sold 30,000 ebooks on Amazon\u2019s Kindle<\/span> and Rod Baker,\u00a0 author <\/a><\/strong><\/span>of\u00a0\u00a0Constant Traveller. <\/strong><\/p>\n

We\u2019ll be talking about How To Become A Successful Indie Author<\/strong><\/span>. Other offerings at this writers festival are from comic strip creator, Lynn Johnston; Nisga\u2019a Author, Jordan Abel; and novelist Camilla Gibb. International Twitter Chat<\/h3>\n

\"writers'<\/a>Then, on April 21 at 3 pm EST, I\u2019ll be taking part in an International LIVE Twitter Chat hosted by Porter Anderson\u00a0for\u00a0Self-e Library Journal<\/strong><\/span>. Authors, Roz Morris and Liza Perrat will also be available to chat. You can follow along and ask your own SELF-e questions using the hashtag #SELFeChat<\/strong><\/p>\n

Book Reading and Signing<\/h3>\n

I\u2019ll be at the Library in Courtenay<\/span> <\/strong>on \"WritersVancouver Island, talking about my new novel, The Rubber Fence<\/span> <\/strong><\/span>and my self-publishing journey. I’ll also be doing a book reading and signing.<\/p>\n

April does bring showers, showers of wonderful experiences where I get to meet other writers and readers who share my love of the written word. And they all take place in one form or another in libraries.<\/p>\n

West Vancouver Library<\/p><\/div>\n

Since I’ll be away from home during my Twitter Chat and have no internet in our city retreat, I’ll be doing\u00a0it from\u00a0one of my favourite places, the West Vancouver library.<\/p>\n

A side note here<\/strong><\/span>: When I was a young mother, and my husband had returned to university to pursue his Master of Social Work, I worked part-time as a research librarian at the University of Manitoba. Loved it, as I was surrounded by books. So you can\u00a0understand why I’m enthralled with all of the above.<\/p>\n
