Lukia Mazurets, a Ukrainian peasant farmer, and her children immigrate to Canada in the summer of 1929, just before the stock market crashes and the Great Depression begins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Falling grain prices, the ravages of nature, and unexpected family conflicts threaten to smash her dreams of family unity in a strange land. In the midst of these grim times, love knocks on her door again. Awakening desire she thought was long gone. She now has to choose between having a man in her life or the children she\u2019s sacrificed everything for.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lilacs in the Dust Bowl<\/a> <\/span><\/em><\/strong>is both a Historical Fiction and a Biographical Fiction, based on the author’s grandmother’s life. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
