There, he directed a short film, about five minutes long, called Eduardo.

It was shot on 8 mm film (not digital) and is in Spanish with sub-titles.

Kodak Film Challenge

After it was completed, he found out that Kodak was having a film contest encouraging filmmakers to make short Super 8 films and compete for a money prize as well as a chance to be in the Slamdance Film Festival.

The first part of the competition is a popularity contest, so he needs your vote.

As you can appreciate, the competition is fierce. There are over 500 entries.

15 films, the ones who get the most votes, will move on to the final part of the competition.

The winner will be decided by a jury.

If he’s successful in this Kodak Film Challenge, he would use the money to help fund a feature film he’s been writing.

I just voted.  You can vote again and again, but only once a day. You’ll be asked to join the film community and give your phone number. There’s a spot before you’re finished the voting procedure to tick that you’re not a filmmaker. The phone number (which remains confidential) is to ensure that you’re not a robot.

Thank you so much. If you have any questions, please leave a comment and I’ll be glad to answer them.
